Hi @miznow0 ! This is a common issue. GitHub Student Pack verification is flexible, and you don’t necessarily need to use your camera. Here’s what usually works: File upload instead of live camera: Some verification steps allow you to upload a PDF or image of your transcript instead of scanning it live. Make sure the file is clear, high-resolution, and readable. Accepted formats: PDF, PNG, or JPEG are typically accepted. Ensure all text is visible and not cropped. If the form doesn’t allow uploads: Take a photo with another device that has a higher-resolution camera. Alternatively, scan it on a scanner or phone scanning app (like Adobe Scan or Microsoft Lens) and save it as a PDF. Contact support if needed: If you’re still unable to submit, GitHub Support can accept verification documents manually. Submit a ticket here: https://support.github.com/contact |

GitHub Student Developer Pack: Verification SupportThis document summarizes the official stance and community-tested workarounds for document verification issues on GitHub Global Campus, specifically regarding transcript submissions and camera resolution problems. 1. Can I upload a file instead of using the camera? No. GitHub currently does not support uploading saved files (PDFs, JPEGs, or scans) from your local storage for student verification. For security reasons, the system requires a live photo captured in real-time. This ensures the document is physically present with the applicant. 2. Solutions for Low Camera ResolutionIf your computer's webcam cannot capture clear text on your transcript, use these community-verified steps:
3. Transcript RequirementsWhen using a transcript as proof, GitHub's automated system requires the following to be clearly visible in the photo:
4. Technical TroubleshootingIf you are still stuck in an "application loop" after updating your profile:

Hi everyone,
My school's student ID doesn't meet your requirements. Therefore, I'd like to use my transcript for verification, but my computer camera's resolution isn't good enough to recognize the text in the document. Is there any way I can submit the document as a file?
