Hi, I am not sure why you got the issue (The image is not visible). Maybe it's the college name or your ID not having a validity date from to. You can message the Support via here; they are pretty fast, honestly! Hope my ans help :) |

Hi @ANASBA666, Please make sure that your first name and last name match exactly across your GitHub profile, billing information, and the proof document you upload. If one document gets rejected, do not upload the same document again. Instead, try using a different proof, such as an ID card, fee receipt, or admission letter, as long as it clearly displays your correct name. Ensure that your name is shown properly and consistently on all documents. GitHub usually takes 24 to 72 hours to verify the documents. hope this answer helps you. |

Hi @ANASBA666, In addition to the great suggestions above, here's another tip that worked for me: Try applying from your college computer/network. I faced similar Student Developer Pack verification issues before, and when I submitted my application directly from my college's computer (using the college network), the verification process went through much more smoothly. The college network connection seems to help GitHub verify your institutional affiliation more easily, especially for colleges that aren't auto-recognized in their system. Here's what worked for me:
Once you upload the student ID photo from your college network, it should go through smoothly. This is exactly how I successfully got my Student Developer Pack approved. This approach, combined with ensuring your documents match as mentioned by others, should increase your chances of approval. Good luck! |

Important Update - What Actually Worked: I want to clarify something important based on my experience: Simply bringing your own laptop to university and connecting to the university WiFi wasn't enough for me. What actually worked was: ✅ Logging into my GitHub account directly ON the university computer (not my personal laptop) So the key is: Don't just connect to university WiFi with your laptop - actually use the university's computer itself, log into GitHub there, and apply from that machine. This seems to help GitHub verify that you're genuinely on campus and associated with that institution. Highly recommend this approach to anyone struggling with verification! |

Hi everyone,
My GitHub Student Developer Pack application was denied.
My legal name is “ANAS B A” (as shown on my college ID).
My college is SA-ADIYA Arts & Science College, Kerala, India.
I have ensured my GitHub profile and billing name exactly match my academic documents.
Could someone from GitHub Education please advise what additional documentation is required for colleges that are not auto-recognized?
Thank you.
